flecha SEA KAYAKING AND WILDLIFE

Duration: three days.

Time of year: all year round

Difficulty level: moderate.

Day 1: From your hotel we drive early in the morning north of La Serena to Humboldt Penguin National Reserve, which consists of three islands with white sandy beaches surrounded by emerald water full of marine wildlife such as penguins, seals, a colony of bottle nose dolphins and a great variety of marine birds. Once we get there we’ll prepare and pack our kayaks (the stable and comfortable Necky Amaruk model), have a safety talk and paddling instructions. This first day of paddling is to cross to Damas island, set up camp, have time for a soft trek around the island and have dinner.

Day 2: Early in the morning we cross to the Choros island and as we approach we’ll get sight of the seals who are located in front of large cliffs which on occasion we will navigate through. Once we’ll have visited the Choros island and have some food to recover energy we will go back towards Damas island, a place where we will have more opportunity of sighting dolphins. Free afternoon to enjoy the place and relax. Early dinner.

Day 3: In the morning after breakfast we’ll prepare and pack the kayaks and depending on the sea state we’ll start paddling back to the continent, where our transportation will drive us to a seafood restaurant and have lunch. Return to your lodging accommodation. This concludes our service.

These situations cannot be predicted and are out of our control so they are not a reason for a refund.
