Day 1 From your hotel we drive to the Fray Jorge National Park, World Biosphere Reserve, located in the coastal mountain range. There we’ll get to know a relict forest, a natural treasure of the region and find out more about it in its Center of Environmental Education. After a rest and the opportunity to enjoy the environment we will go to the Tabalí vineyard to visit its vineyards, caves and production units and end the day with a tasting of regional products accompanied by different types of wines. Then we will head to Valle del Encanto National Monument, an archaeological treasure with relics of hunter groups from 2.000 BC and petroglyphes attributed to the Molle Culture. After the walk, which will take us approximately 2 hours we’ll move to a typical hotel of the region to have rest and recover energy with a thermal bath, good food and Chilean wine. End of the day.
Day 2 Early in the morning we leave to Ovalle where we will visit the museum of Limarí, situated in the old train station which has a collection of ceramics and other relics of the Diaguitas culture found in the city. Then we will move to Hurtado Valley were we’ll see the geography and culture of this enchanted valley. We will cross top and over the Andes range towards the Elqui Valley and stop in the city of Vicuña, famous for the poet Gabriela Mistral who we’ll get to know in the museum that bears her name. After that we will head to the village of the Pisco Elqui and enjoy lunch in a typical place of the village. After lunch enter in the world of Pisco, visiting a distillery to learn about the process of making Pisco. After a rest and the opportunity to enjoy the environment we leave to the city of Vicuña where we’ll visit the astronomical observatory Mamalluca and will be able to learn something about the world of astronomy. Return to your lodging accommodation. This concludes our service.
